Birthday Candles explores 80+ years in the life of Ernestine Ashworth as she celebrates her birthdays from 17 to 101. Celebrating each year with her mother’s special birthday cake recipe, Ernestine celebrates her life and the people in it from the most mundane to the wholly fulfilling events.
