Plot

Act One

It is Memorial Day weekend and a group of friends congregate around a piano at the upstate New York home of Gregory Mitchell. The group includes Gregory’s blind boyfriend, Bobby Brahms, musical-theater fanatic Buzz Hauser, the long-term couple Perry Sellars and Arthur Pape, an English pianist named John Jeckyll, and John’s Puerto Rican boyfriend Ramon Fornos.

Later that night. Bobby comes down to the kitchen for some milk but instead is accosted by Ramon. Ramon seduces Bobby and the pair have sex in the kitchen. When they break a bottle of milk, Ramon runs back to his bed. Arthur finds Bobby standing alone among the broken glass and correctly guesses what happened. As he tends to a cut on Bobby’s foot, he admits that he was unfaithful in the past also. However, he advises Bobby to remain quiet about his infidelity as it’s never quite the same afterwards if the truth is out there.
