Overview

Synopsis

When the downtrodden Devon arrives at a beachfront mansion for a belated birthday celebration with her sister Simone, the plan is for a girls’ weekend of luxury and alcohol. But that falls apart almost immediately with the sudden arrival of Simone’s boss-the billionaire Michaela. Elemeno Pea is equal parts sitcom, social parody, and psychological exploration and became a hit after it debuted at the Humana Festival of New American Plays. It offers strong comedic female roles, humor that millennials and Gen Z will undoubtedly appreciate, and sardonic commentary on a particular subtype of the mega-wealthy.
