Overview

Synopsis

When a nervous traveler known as Mr. Pim comes to stay at the home of the rigid George Marden, his visit should, by all accounts, be uneventful. Mr. Pim is only passing through town, but an off-handed revelation manages to throw the entire household into chaos. It turns out that the presumed-dead first husband of George’s wife, Olivia, may not be dead after all, throwing George and Olivia’s marriage into question and inviting scandal upon them. Meanwhile, George’s niece Dinah is desperate to marry artist Brian, but George refuses to allow the engagement. This three-act comedy is a clever character study with charming roles, particularly for female actors.
