Overview
Synopsis
After her sister’s untimely death by a Yorkshire pudding, a funny misfit teen navigates adolescence (with varying degrees of success). From joining a flailing scout group, to first dates, and fast friendships, Instructions for a Teenage Armageddon is a rollercoaster ride through youth and all the twists and turns that accompany it. This one-woman show is an excellent showcase for a young actor who can navigate comedy and drama while dealing with heavy topics that affect young girls on their journey to womanhood.
Author’s note: Video footage is projected to show Girl’s memoires, but the play can be produced with/without this. Musical and cultural references can be updated for each production. The original play was written and performed by a woman in her 20’s. Some material may be too heavy for younger teens to perform.
