Overview

Synopsis

Mr. and Mrs. Twit are a diabolical couple who amuse themselves with cruel pranks. Some years ago, they stole the beloved fairgrounds belonging to some traveling circus performers. Now, the Twits have decided to invite the rag-tag performers to their home under the guise that they plan to return their fairgrounds to them. Instead, they enlist a family of performing monkeys to reenact each of their most torturous moments.

With a story and tone that appeal to young and adult audiences alike, Enda Walsh’s adaptation preserves and builds on the dark absurdity of Roald Dahl’s original novel.
