Overview
Synopsis
In a California recording studio in the mid-1970s, a British-American rock band is on the verge of superstardom — if they don’t implode first. As they spend months perfecting their new album, creative brilliance collides with personal chaos: lovers fall out, friendships fracture, and ambition threatens to tear the group apart. Stereophonic pulls audiences into the charged, intimate world of the recording booth, where every take could change their lives.
With live music performances from the actors and original music composed by Will Butler of Arcade Fire, coupled with explosive performances, this Tony Award–winning play reveals the passion, pressure, and heartbreak behind the making of an era-defining sound.
