Desirée Moya Derkoyorikian is a versatile mezzo-soprano and actress specializing in opera and musical theatre. Her recent roles include Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica, Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music, and Matron “Mama” Morton in Chicago. Outside of performance, Desirée is passionate about music education, having directed a children's choir and taught music to children. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music at Berklee College of Music, where she continues refining her craft. Desirée is committed to fostering a deeper appreciation for the world of music and theatre and inspiring the next generation of artists.
