ABOUT Tufan

He was born in Istanbul in 1968. He graduated from the economics department, Istanbul University faculty of Economics in 1991. He completed the master thesis named ‘The origins of acting and its development’ at the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 1993 and his doctorate thesis named ‘Analysis of modern theatre: Inclinations in playwriting and staging from classic to postmodern’ at the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2010. As a drama instructor, he has started giving lectures such as acting, aesthetic, mythology, history of theatre, theatre literature, dramaturgy and playwriting, dramaturgy and directing at Istanbul University State Conservatory department of stage performing arts since 1994. He founded ‘Theatre Fora’ in 1995 and hold the position of artistic director.
