At Bay Area Children’s Theatre, we believe passionately in the power of theatre to enrich children’s lives.
Founded in 2004 by five arts educators with a dream, BACT has grown to become a major creative force in the Bay Area reaching over 125,000 children and adults each year. Our vision is for all Bay Area children to have the opportunity to experience live theatre before they finish elementary school.
The many benefits of experiencing live theatre include:
improving literacy and critical thinking fostering creativity, empathy, and understanding developing confidence and teamwork encouraging civic engagement and lifelong arts appreciation
