About
The performing arts at Shawnee State University consists of four programs that enable students to develop and refine their skills in the areas of music, dance, voice and acting.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater at Shawnee State University offers the student creative opportunities as well as a grounding in liberal arts study. The program is designed to develop the professional skills required of musical theatre artists while also providing a comprehensive academic foundation. Students will refine their music, dance, vocal, and acting skills to attain the performance levels required for a professional audition, or admission into a graduate program. Student progress will regularly be evaluated through coursework, juried performance and production critique.
Students can also pursue an Associate of Arts degree or minor in Theatre.
