About Milwaukee Rock Theatre
Welcome to the home of the Milwaukee Rock Theatre [MRT]. We are a theatre company dedicated to performing rock operas, rock musicals and concept albums. In addition to producing classic rock productions like JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and HAIR, MRT also intends to explore more innovative works, new works, and lesser produced works.
We have been producing our shows at the Turner Ballroom, generally in the Spring and Fall. MRT formed in the summer of 2002 and has produced six shows--TOMMY, two productions of the rock musical revue ROCK ON BROADWAY, HAIR, a FESTIVAL OF CONCEPT ALBUMS and WEST SIDE STORY.
