Abaissés Theatre is named after Les Amis de l'abaissés, (“Friends of the Abased”), a group of young, scrappy, "outcast" intellectuals using their skills to help the underdogs of society in Victor Hugo's "Les Miserables."
Abaissés Theatre gives a voice to those at the fringes of society by producing socially relevant, challenging, art with minimalist aesthetics.
