About York Shakespeare Project
Founded in 2001, YSP is an unincorporated association registered as a charity, and has so far staged 34 productions covering 35 of Shakespeare’s plays.
Recent productions have included a well attended run of Twelfth Night directed by Mark Smith at York Theatre Royal Studio, Henry V directed by Maggie Smales – The York Press ‘York Play of the Year 2015’ – Pericles directed by Sophie Paterson, and immersive production of Henry VIII directed by Ben Prusiner presented at King’s Manor.
