Ewhurst Players

Looking back over the last 40 years there have been so many successful, innovative, entertaining and dramatic Ewhurst Players productions that have taken place on the Village Hall stage. We started off in a very small way! Our first production had a £10.00 lighting board, merely on/off switches. Our first Pantomime – costumes mostly provided by the cast themselves – wedding dresses (their own) for the chorus — the chorus of Ducks clad in swimming flippers painted yellow! Our first step into serious drama with “A Man for All Seasons” – we sold few tickets for the first performance but on the following morning the telephones started to ring ..and performances after that were sold out.
