Opera Mariposa

Opera Mariposa is a Vancouver-based company run by young artists, for young artists. Our mission is to presenting high-calibre opera and musical theatre to the public while creating meaningful, accessible and inclusive opportunities for emerging performers. Now in our eighth season, our performances have been hailed as “a stroke of genius” (The Voice) and “an evening of delight” (Review Vancouver), with The Vancouver Project declaring that “Opera Mariposa stands at the forefront of Vancouver’s opera scene.” As Canada’s only disability-led, disabiliy-run opera company, we have a particular focus on making opera and musical theatre accessible - in every sense of the word.
