Cedar Cliff opened in 1959, a jointure of West Shore and Lemoyne High Schools. The new, unique facility showcased a 1300 seat auditorium with floor to ceiling windows! This feature allowed natural light for classes and assemblies and black-outs for concerts and musicals. Here, bellowed traditions were born spring featured elaborate Broadway-style musicals and dynamic performances by Cedar Cliff’s many ensembles. In 2009-2010, the original auditorium closed for total renovation. The new, gorgeous facility now features a stunning wooden façade, state-of-the-art technology, a double lobby, control booth, acoustical clouds, and improved stage rigging. Officially opening on December 19, 2010, this beautiful area has resounded with the music and sounds of a new generation of Colts. Continuing Cedar Cliff’s many traditions, this place has been a second home for many. Countless hours of rehearsal, heartfelt performances, significant events, and memories that last a lifetime.
