Theo Ubique’s origins date to 1997 but the company started to evolve as one of the preeminent Chicagoland professional, non- equity theatre companies in 2004 when they began presenting musicals and revues in a cabaret setting at Michael James’ No Exit Café in Rogers Park. In December 2018, Theo Ubique moved North, just across the city line to Howard Street in Evanston to a slightly larger, more flexible theatre space.
Theo Ubique is a professional, not for profit, performing arts organization dedicated to engaging artists and audiences in an intimate and honest conversation through the language of strong stories and powerful performances to help create an enriched community, empathetic to the human condition.
