John Bucchino
John Bucchino was born in South Philadelphia and moved to Palm Springs, California when he was 12. Bucchino began writing songs when he was in high school and moved to Los Angeles after college. His work was seen by Stephen Sondheim and Stephen Schwartz, both of whom recommended Bucchino begin writing for theatre. Bucchino moved to New York City in 1992 and began his pursuit of writing songs for musicals. His music has been featured in Broadway revues and in concerts such as Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series.
