Max Martin (born Karl Martin Sandberg) is a Swedish songwriter and record producer. He became famous in the 1990s, writing hits for artists such as Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, NSYNC, and Celine Dion. His catalogue of work now includes 25 Billboard Hot 100 number-one songs, including “...Baby One More Time” (Britney Spears), “Roar” (Katy Perry), “Shake It Off” (Taylor Swift), and “Blinding Lights” (The Weekend). He has won 5 Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year. In 2019, his songs were used as the basis for the new musical & Juliet.
