David Bottrell is an American actor and writer. Originally from Louisa, Kentucky, he began his career as a theatre actor in New York and worked on stage at regional theatres including Actors Theatre of Louisville and Long Wharf Theatre. He appeared as a guest actor in several TV series, including Bones, NCIS, The Blacklist, and Boston Legal. As a writer, Bottrell wrote a comedic one-man show and co-wrote the comedy Dearly Departed with Jessie Jones. He also performed in the comedy revue Streep Tease: An Evening of Meryl Streep Monologues Performed by an All-Male Company.
Bottrell wrote the book “Working Actor: Breaking In, Making A Living, and Making a Life in the Fabulous Trenches of Show Business” and has taught acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and UCLA.
