Madeleine George is an American playwright and author. Growing up in Amherst, Massachusetts, George began writing as a student and, as a teenager, was a participant in the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons and The Public Theatre. George received a BA from Cornell University and an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
George works as a writer of plays, books, and television. George’s most notable plays include Hurricane Diane (2017), The (curious case of the ) Watson Intelligence (2013), and The Zero Hour (2010). Her most notable novels are Looks (2008) and The Difference Between Me and You (2012) and George is a writer on the television show Only Murders in the Building. George is a founding member of 13P, an Obie-Award winning collective of playwrights.
