Floyd Dell was an American newspaper and magazine editor, critic, novelist, playwright, and poet. He was the editor of Friday Literary Review in Chicago, and his play Little Accident was a Broadway hit that was eventually turned into a movie. Dell was highly political and was a big part of the political and social movements of the 1910s and 1920s. He was the editor of a left-wing magazine called The Masses which twice put him on trial for publishing subversive literature.
