Paul Katz has written music and lyrics heard on television, stage, and radio. He has also produced a variety of musical CD’s. His credits include Dirty Dreams of a Clean Cut Kid, winner of San Francisco’s Cable Car Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Theatre,” as well as the Chicago’s After Dark Award. His other musicals (music/lyrics) include the acclaimed Seduction: A Dance Opera (Director/Choreographer: Chet Walker). Paul MD’d Guild Hall East Hampton’s Night of 75 Stars concert, as well as An Evening with Richard Adler, and An Evening with Peter Stone at the same venue. In collaboration with Michael Colby, he wrote the musical scores to Slay it With Music and Tales of Tinseltown. He was musical director/arranger for Forbidden Broadway Presents Mr. President, and This Life: The Songs of Portia Nelson, winning the Bistro Award.
Paul is on the private voice faculty at Marymount Manhattan College and is currently active in supporting many environmental and animal rights causes.
