Parker Jenkins is a senior Psychology (BS) and Dramatic Arts (BA) double major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Working as an actor, lighting designer, and playwright--along with his studies in clinical psychopharmacology and abnormal psychology--his plays center around the myriad of mental, emotional, social, and political struggles in this lifetime of human experience. He began acting three years ago, and fell in love with the stage. Now, he is combining his two passions—and areas of study—to write plays that address mental illness and other psychology stressors that face America’s youth and empower those that struggle with life daily—something that should not be hidden.
