Rob Rokicki is an American composer, lyricist, and actor. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and a BFA in Musical Theatre. As an actor, Rokicki has toured the country, appearing in the Evita 25th Anniversary Tour (directed by Hal Prince) and Miss Saigon. He also appeared in the televised concert of South Pacific at Carnegie Hall.
As a writer, Rokicki is best known for Broadway musical, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. After an Off-Broadway run and a national tour, the show premiered on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre in 2019. He has also written the graphic novel musical Monstersongs and Love, NY (co-written with Mike Ruby), which won the 2009 American Harmony Award. His other co-writing credits with Ruby include Relativity (Theatre Row, selected for The Pitch at Fingerlakes Musical Theatre Festival), 20 To Life (American University), and Strange Tails (West Village Musical Theatre Festival; Best Musical, Best Lyrics, Best Score, Best Book; ANT fest).
Rokicki is on the musical theatre faculty at CAP21 and Pace University.
