Douglas J. Cohen was nominated for the 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics for Children’s Letters to God. He received the 2010 Fred Ebb Award as well as two Richard Rodgers Awards for writing the book, music and lyrics for No Way to Treat a Lady. He was awarded the York Theater Company’s Inaugural Noel Coward Prize for writing the book, music, and lyrics to The Gig. Both musicals are available for licensing through Concord Theatricals. His other musicals include Nine Wives (for which he received a Jonathan Larson Grant), The Opposite of Sex, The Evolution of Mann, Bridges, Glimmerglass, and A Charles Dickens Christmas. He is a member of Dramatists Guild, ASCAP, and the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop.
