Suzie Miller is an Australian playwright, librettist and screenwriter. Born in Melbourne Australia, she now splits her time between London and Sydney. Miller worked as a human rights lawyer and a children’s rights lawyer before leaving the law and moving to London in 2010. Her play Prima Facie (premiered 2019, Griffin Theatre) won the 2020 Australian Writers’ Guild Award for Drama; the 2020 David Williamson Award for Outstanding Theatre Writing; and the 2020 prestigious Major Australian Writers’ Guild Award. The play made its West End premiere in 2022 at the Harold Pinter Theatre, starring Jodie Comer. It won Best New Play and Best Actress (Comer) at the 2023 Olivier Awards. Following its Broadway premiere in 2023, Comer also picked up the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Play.
