Ryan Cunningham is an award winning American lyricist, book writer, and playwright. Best known for his partnership with composer Joshua Salzman, Cunningham is the recipient of the Jonathan Larson Award, and the Stephen Schwartz ASCAP workshop, and was nominated for a Drama Desk for Outstanding Lyrics and the MAC Award for Song of the Year. His musical works I Love You Because and Next Thing You Know have found great success across America and Europe, the former having been translated into five languages over four continents. He has also written two plays with award-winning writer Charles Antin: Half-Married and Television’s Greatest Playwright.
