Jane Milmore was an American actress and playwright. Born in Laramie, Wyoming, she was raised in New York and New Jersey. Milore met her future writing partner, Billy Van Zandt at a high school drama competition. Cited in the New York Times as “masters of modern farce”, Van Zandt and Milmore wrote 23 plays together over their 46-year partnership. Their most popular plays include You’ve Got Hate Mail, Drop Dead, and Silent Laughter.
Milmore was also an actress and Emmy-nominated producer. She performed alongside Van Zandt in many of their plays and appeared in several TV series. From 2004 to 2009, she was married to TV producer Richard Vaczy. Milmore died of pancreatic cancer in February 2020.
