Alexander Dinelaris is an American screenwriter. He co-wrote the screenplay for Birdman (2014), winning an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. For theatre, Dinelaris wrote the book for On Your Feet, a jukebox musical about the life and career of Gloria Estefan. He was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical for On Your Feet!. Other book musical writing credits include Zanna, Don’t! and The Bodyguard.
