Michael Tester made his writing debut in the London fringe scene with the musical satire Amoebas on Parade!!, hailed by The New York Times as displaying "the development potential of a major humorist." He is co-author of the international hit The Awesome 80s Prom (winner: Improv Theater Award for Interactive Show of the Year) and Body & Soul (National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts gala), which was performed at Manhattan's Baryshnikov Arts Center. Tester is also part of the writing team for Tony winner Ken Davenport's Broadway musical Gettin‘ the Band Back Together. His original musicals include Hollywood Exposed! (Actors' Playhouse, Fla.), The Pirate Musical! (Samuel French) and Most Likely To: The Senior Superlative Monologues(and Musical, nominated for 11 MITF Awards (Dramatic Publishing). Tester is a Scholar/Artist, Rodgers & Hammerstein scholarship winner, and a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NYC. He was voted Class Clown and Most Dramatic in high school, the dichotomy of which informs the seriocomic tone of his work.
