Analysis
The herdsman discovers Orestes and Pylades on the island, and quickly rushes to tell Iphigenia so she can perform the sacrifice. He tells the story of seeing the two strangers on the shore, and of Orestes’ near-mania, which led to the massive slaughter of their cattle.
