Analysis
Rochester is the lead male character in Charlotte Bronte’s novel, Jane Eyre. He appears from Charlotte’s imagination in Act Two, firstly confronting his mad first wife, Bertha, and then reenacting the final scene of the novel with Jane/Charlotte.
