Eurycleia is the life-long servant of the royal family of Ithaca, having been King Odysseus’ nursemaid, and later the nursemaid to Odysseus and Penelope’s son Telemachus. She is cheerful, energetic, loyal, and motherly, and often indulges Telemachus more than she should.
