Alarbus is carted into Rome in the first scene and promptly offered as a sacrifice to “appease” the departed souls of Titus Andronicus’ fallen soldiers (Act 1, Sene i). His death hardens the queen Tamora, his mother, to revenge against the Andronici clan.
