South Plains College

About

Courses in theatre at South Plains College provide fundamental training for students who are preparing for careers in professional theatre or who wish to teach theatre in public and private schools. Students majoring in theatre receive firsthand experience in acting and in staging productions. Theatre students have the opportunity to perform in and help produce four major productions each year at South Plains College. Two of these productions are musicals.

South Plains College's two-year degree program in theatre is designed to provide the student with successful transfer to a university to complete a bachelor's degree. The advantage of beginning a college education at South Plains College is evident in the small classes and personal attention the student receives, in addition to the opportunity to perform and help produce top-rated theatrical productions.
