Introduction

Jamie Lloyd was born in Poole, Dorset in 1980. His father was a truck driver, who played drums in a tribute band to Cliff Richard and the Shadows and his mother ran a fancy-dress business. He has two half-brothers and two half-sisters. When he was five, his parents split up and his mother remarried. When Lloyd was 11, his mother met her third husband and moved the family to Hastings. While directing the Donmar Warehouse’s West End staging of Guys and Dolls, he met his wife, actress Suzie Toase. They have two sons, Lewen and George.

  • 2006 - Lloyd directed The Caretaker at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.
  • 2008 - 2011 - Lloyd takes the position of associate director at the Donmar Warehouse.
