When I was home for the holidays, my parents—mostly my father, but my mother didn’t contradict him, she never does—they expressed concerns about some of my choices. [...] They also were not fond of my decision to join an improv group. Or to take a feminist theory class. Or to vote Democrat. Or. Or. Or. They even object to my music choices.
