Sometimes, to help me remember, I do some research on the event or name. Elicit an emotional reaction. Emotional reactions serve great for our memory, almost as good as your sense of smell. Your sense of smell is the sharpest sense for our memory. Sometimes if I want to remember something for a test, I'll wear a certain perfume while I study. Then I'll wear that perfume during the test. It works every time.
