Okay. Here’s my impersonation of a real Eleanor Brooks.
(She clears her throat and smiles.)
I’m doing great, JJ. I’m so happy that the DNA test that dad got for me for my birthday which was supposed to be a fun viewing of ancestry history turned out to be the worst thing possible for this family. I was so, so, so, happy to hear that mom wouldn’t let me spit into that little tube thing-y because she didn’t want our dad to know he wasn’t my dad at all. Terrific news to hear, would love to go back in time and replay it again. And I’m so thankful that it hasn’t messed with my family dynamic or how I view myself.
(Beat.)
