Description

The beauty and fragility of the human condition collide to tell a story of resilience, courage, and love. This multimedia play with dance takes audiences into the inner life of those living with and affected by Parkinson’s disease and spotlights the reality that being able-bodied is, like life itself, temporary. Playwright Charlotte Meehan—whose previous play "The Audacity: Women Speak" won the 2019 Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Production—brings us a series of scenes between three diverse couples, each impacted by progressing Parkinson’s disease. These characters respond to the advice given to them by medical professionals with a mix of hilarity, pain, and love—all woven into one story that leaves no audience member untouched. From the Boston based theatre company Sleeping Weazel, "Everyday Life and Other Odds and Ends" inventively plays with a concoction of dialogue and dance that celebrates human resilience.
