Context
Talbot has just won a battle and is being hailed as a valiant general throughout England and France. The Countess of Auvergne sends a letter to Talbot asking him to come visit her so because she’s so impressed by him. Talbot agrees to go. When he comes to visit, the Countess reveals that she has tricked him and is going to imprison him in her castle. However, Talbot outsmarts her and his soldiers show up, surrounding her. She admits that she underestimated him and agrees to let his soldiers
