Context
In an effort to see if her fiance Ranger is loyal, Lydia secretly followed him into St. James’ Park, where romantic rendezvous take place. He spotted her, and followed her to her friend Christina’s lodgings. Lydia has convinced her friend to hide her, while Christina pretends that she was really the woman in the park.
