Context
Winnie has spent much of the first act trying to decipher a message printed on the handle of her toothbrush: “fully guaranteed genuine pure hog’s setae.” Funnily, the word “setae” (bristles) doesn’t phase her, but she cannot remember what the definition of “hog” is. Her husband, Willie, has come out of his hole to get some sun, and he is able to define the word, which gives Winnie a thrill.
