Margaret ignores her as she speaks on the phone.
Margaret
The problem is that I have not received the package even though I have paid for two day shipping yesss? I have problem with that nooo? Because I have the prime account. So two days have gone by eh.. what is your name was again? Okay Jason.. so.. what we gonna do because I want my money back yess? No eh.. Jacob, I don’t want to hold.
Margaret is quiet for a few moments while she is on hold.
Yudy takes this as a chance to speak but Margaret puts her finger up to stop her.
Yudy heavily drops her bags and boots.
Margaret
Noooo Johnny. I want to ask you questions yes. Okay. I need soap, feminine pads, toilet paperWhat are my girls supposed to do without toilet paper? Would you like for me to find you? I could you know. I could find you and would you like for me to put your hands together and make a little cup with them? Uh huh.. just listen.. Margaret finally turns around and begins handing a bunch of papers to Yudy.

Yudy

Margaret
Right. Go through these papers. Sign papers. All the paperwork for me to file yes. On the X you sign. Take your time if you mess it up you have to start over. Don’t want that. No more paper in printer for today. Waiting on the goddamn order. Take pen right here. ...

Margaret stashes the pills in a lock box on her desk while Yudy goes to sit with the paperwork.
Suddenly Margaret whips around.
Oh you! Nooo sex. You have the sex. Not here. No sex her in this house. I see it you get kick out!
Yudy
That’s great. I really wasn’t planning on it.
Margaret

Actually. Could I possibly make a phone call? Before I start on the paperwork? It’s 3 already so.. It’s going to be too late to get in touch with the V.A and I don’t have a working cell yet so…
Margaret hands her the landline.
Margaret
Make your call yes. Have fun.
Yudy reaches for the phone warily and calls a number she knows by heart.
Margaret goes back to her seat facing away from the desk.
Suddenly a woman comes bursting out from one of the rooms.
She is dressed like a femme fatale.
Perhaps a black leather dress, thigh high boots and black lipstick.
She ignores Yudy as she bangs on Margaret’s desk.
Yes Persephone?
Persephone
Margaret! Be a doll and let me have another Ativan. Raymond will not leave me alone and I am too stressed out.
Margaret
You know you cannot have another one until tonight.
Persephone
What is this Nazi Germany? Come on Margaret, you know just one more won’t do anything to me.
Margaret turns around ignoring Persephone.
Persephone bangs on the desk again but Margaret does not flinch.
Persephone grabs the pen from Yudy’s pile of papers on her chair and chucks it across the room almost hitting Yudy.
Yudy is alarmed, Margaret is still unfazed.
Fine! I’ll go to Starbucks and get an espresso. The only drug I’m allowed in this prison.
She notices Yudy staring at her.
Boo!
She exits. Yudy refocuses her energy on the phone.
The lights begin to fade. We hear hold muzak. Scene 2 set up can begin while the hold muzak and Voiceover happen.
