Context
Henry, the volatile son of the Antrobus’, has just returned home from war. He overhears a message from his father, Mr. Antrobus, which states that Henry is the enemy and is to be killed on sight if he ever appears in the house again. After Henry gets into an argument with his mother, Mrs. Antrobus, and their maid, Sabina, he falls asleep on the couch. HENRY: Okay! What have you got to lose? What have they done for us? That’s right - nothing. Tear everything down. I don’t care what you smash. We’ll begin again and we’ll show ‘em.
(ANTROBUS holds his revolver pointing downwards. With his back to the audience, he moves towards the footlights. HENRY’S voice grows louder and he wakes with a start.)
