Have you seen Amber’s “makeover”?
MADDIE
Yeah, what’s she trying to prove?
HARPER
I think she looks great.
ALEXIS
It’s definitely “different”.
MADDIE
I don’t know, I think she’s moved to the dark side.
HARPER
Yeah, she’s like Morgan’s new BFF.
MADDIE
More like Morgan’s little pet project or something.
MELISSA
I don’t know why we can’t all just get along. Why don’t you just try talking to her, Melissa?
(ALL exit. Transition to: MELISSA is at home on her computer. She sees a photo of AMBER with her new friends and sighs. She reaches for her phone and texts AMBER)
MELISSA
(She dictates her texts out loud as she sends them)
Hey, Amber? Can we talk?
(Amber appears on the other side of the stage)
AMBER
(Amber also dictates her texts out loud as she sends them)
