JOE
Well, the good guys won again last night. I think we’re going all the way this year.
STEVE
Yeah, baby.
JILL
The basketball game? Absolutely, that was exciting! (Moves a little closer to Mike)
RICK
Everyone was there.
STEVE
It was a rush, loudest I’ve ever heard it.
(Long Pause)
KATIE (Looking around, and then looking specifically at Jill and Mike)
Well, this group is awful quiet.
JOE
You know (puts both hands up), I’ll go ahead and say it. This group hasn’t been the same since that accident. We’ve been talking about some heavy stuff. (Shakes his head)
KAREN
Well, it makes you think about what’s really important, am I right?
STEVE
Yeah, like the “S” word for instance.
(Everyone looks at him, confused. Steve looks back at them and smiles)
