Context
After breaking up with Cassandra at the top of the scene Gordon is visited by his pushy agent Al who is pressuring him to finish a play that a publisher is waiting for so neither of them will lose their advance payment. Al leaves to get some lunch for both of them as Gordon falls asleep on the couch only to be wakened by a knock at his front door where a person who bears a startling resemblance to William Shakespeare tries to convince him that he is the genuine article.
